Research Interests

2) Ą°Stable composition of binary clustersĄ± and its application in cluster studies. In the study of binary clusters composed of transition metal and sulfur elements, we found that the clusters generated by laser ablation include two compositions, stable ones and unstable ones. The former composition is important for the study on the cluster structure and bonding. We found a series of stable compositions for various metal/non-metal binary clusters.

3) Designed a laser double ablation apparatus for the study on the reaction between atomic clusters. This apparatus is extremely usefulful in experiments on cluster reaction, and is successful for the patent in China.

4) Developed a new bonding structural model for transition metal and non-metal binary clusters.
